First News: Animation Nation is back again this year with another whole (almost)new lot of showcase!
From shows like Freedom Project series(which screened last year till 3rd-4th episode) and studios like Aardman Productions(the ones who did wonderful magical stuff on Wallace & Gromit series and Chicken Run), one can hardly fault this magical grandiose of all things "animation"!
One of the showcase will be Makoto Shinkai's Cat(Neko no Shuukai) which can be seen from Youtube here:
Another example will be Disney's “HOW TO HOOK UP YOUR HOME THEATER" comedy from the "HOW TO" series which started from the 1940s' seen here:
Anyway, I have decided to catch at least 6 of the screenings no matter what! I rather die a poor but well-informed and entertained individual, then being neither! :)
Second News: MAY'N is coming down to Singapore to perform!
That's right! This wonderful seiyuu for Sheryl Nome of Macross Frontier fame and Jpop idol will be coming down to Singapore to give us a mini-concert for the Anime Festival Asia 2008 (AFA08) which will be held on the 22nd to the 23rd of November!
She will be performing a total of 7 songs and this is her first overseas performance! Definitely won't gonna miss it(will love to take photos with her as well as get her autograph)! ^^;
